Studio Policies

Our mission is to provide you with first-rate classes in a safe, clean and beautiful environment.

We are here for YOU.

The information below will help you become knowledgeable about the studio and our policies which have been designed to keep things running smoothly.

First, create an online account with us.

On the home page, click on client login.  Sign in and update your account information, check today’s schedule, view your attendance, or sign in to class from your home or mobile device using the free Mind Body Fitness App.

Please note some classes are listed for the same time. LIVE STREAM classes will have VIRTUAL in the title; in person/studio classes will not.  Carefully select the appropriate class based on whether you are practicing at home via LIVE STREAM or in person at the studio.

Personal Belongings: Please put shoes, jackets, bags and water bottles in the cubbies provided for you.  Remember to take all belongings when you leave.

Cell phones: All cell phones on airplane mode or turned off.

Checking In: Check in online or at the desk before going in to class.

Timeline: Doors open 20 minutes before each class. Please allow students who are leaving to have time to get their stuff and start heading out before entering the space.

Closed Water bottles are the only drinks allowed in the studio, and must be kept in the cubbies during class. Drinks with ice are not advised for yoga, room temperature is best.

Fragrances of any kind are not worn to class as some people are sensitive.

Equipment: Everyone must have a yoga (sticky) mat for personal hygiene and safety. The studio sells high quality mats, bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps, as well as mat bags to carry it all in. We have demo mats for rent for visitors ($1.00 donation to the animal shelter.) This way you can try our premium mats before you buy. When you purchase your mat from the studio, you help support the studio and you will know you have a great mat.

On Being late: 30 minutes are scheduled between each class, to allow for a smooth transition. The doors are closed once a class begins.

On Leaving early:  All of of our classes are 60 minutes. Schedule your time so that you can stay until the end of class.

After class: Please pick up your mat and equipment promptly after class.

Voices: Once you have entered the studio for a class, please keep voices low when talking.

Injuries & Limitations: Please let your teacher know prior to the start of class. We appreciate you keeping us updated on your condition.

Refund and Cancellation Policy  What has sustained Movement Arts since 1998 is the consistent support of our members. The money that comes in helps to support the studio being here for you. Once you have paid, please do not ask us for a refund. No exceptions please.

Deposits on Retreats & Teacher Training: All deposits are non-refundable.

Merchandise returns are issued as studio credit, which may be used for classes or other merchandise.

How We Stay in Touch with You. Please make sure we have your correct cell phone number and email address and that you are receiving the monthly newsletter.  You will be informed if there are schedule changes or other updates, new classes or workshops, and other events. We do not sell or share our email lists with anyone else.

Holidays and Studio Closures: We are open for all “bank holidays” and closed for all major holidays. One or two weeks out of any given year we may be closed for studio improvements, continuing education, etc. for which you will be notified in advance.  Classes are available 24/7 through our video library on the Media page.

Weather Closures: When the Stanwood Camano school district is closed due to weather conditions, we are closed. When the schools are running late due to weather, check the schedule for the most up to date information. Whenever possible, closures will be posted on the website and notifications will be sent out.  Pre-recorded classes are available 24/7 through our Media page and certain classes may be LIVE STREAMED during weather closures.  Changes and cancellations will be updated on the schedule page.

Bringing Guests to the Studio: Members may bring guests to class. If the guest is local and interested in classes, we are happy to provide their first class free upon request. If the person is from out of town, we ask that they pay the regular drop in fee.

What we’re doing to protect our community

We remain dedicated to doing our part to protecting the community that supports us — to protecting you, our employees and families, and everyone in our community. Please note that these policies temporarily supersede our regular studio policies.

  • We’re practicing physical distancing inside our business and asking our customers to do the same.
  • Our employees will be wearing face masks or cloth face coverings, and we ask customers to do the same when visiting us. Face masks work well to help prevent the spread of coronavirus through the air when we speak, cough or sneeze.
  • We’ll be working hard to frequently disinfect high-touch surfaces and shared spaces. When you come in, please use our provided hand sanitizer upon arrival.
  • For now, we’re limiting the number of people allowed inside to 10 students at one time
  • We will continue to offer online videos and LIVE STREAMING to meet the demand of everyone who wants to practice. If you have an underlying medical condition that makes you particularly vulnerable, please continue to take advantage of our media options.
  • Our employees will be staying home when they’re sick or showing any possible signs of illness. We ask that you do the same — and we’ll be glad to see you when you’re feeling better!
  • Store your credit or debit card in your account to conduct your membership or class pass transactions or to purchase and pick up merchandise to minimize contact.

How you can help

For us, it’s all about consideration — taking small but important steps to protect one another. We will do our part for as long as it takes. In the meantime, we also ask our customers to:

  • Keep doing physical distancing, staying at least 6 feet from anyone who doesn’t live with you whenever possible. This means not gathering at the cubbies at the same time.
  • Come to class dressed for practice
  • Wear a cloth or manufactured face mask when you visit us. Face coverings, which help prevent the invisible spread of this airborne disease, are required.
  • Leave shoes under the entry bench; bring the rest of your items, including your personal props, to your mat space.
  • Food and drink (except water) will not be allowed in the studio.  Please keep water bottles with screw tight lid in cubbies.
  • Please stay home if you’re sick or suspect you might be sick. We really want to see you — when you’re healthy.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water (or use hand sanitizer) before and after you visit us.
  • Use provided hand sanitizer before wiping down your mat before or after class.
  • By reserving a space in the studio, we ask you to assess your state of health leading up to class.  If you feel feverish or unwell yourself, have a cough or are sneezing (even if it’s allergies), have loss of taste or smell, have been in contact with any confirmed Covid 19 patients or traveled to any Covid 19 hot spots in the last 14 days or are sharing a household with someone has or who is exhibiting these symptoms, we ask you to stay home and practice via LIVE STREAM.  Please cancel reservations through the app or by phone/email to free up space for someone else.

These past few years have challenged our business in ways we never predicted. We’ve been grateful to our customers and our community for your support and encouragement during this time. We’re also grateful we get to go back to work — and to serving you.

Let’s work together toward a recovery that’s healthy and safe for everyone. We’ll see you soon!
