Shamanic Journeying Workshop

Saturday December 1, 2-4 pm $35

Explore Shamanic Journeying with Dr. Clay Thompson, Phd. Shamanic journeying is akin is “dreaming while awake” and allows you to tap into hidden knowledge within you. Clay will drum for you to activate the alpha and theta waves in your brain. These are the same brain wave states you experience while meditating and sleeping. The drum will put you into a trace state that makes it easier to enter the journey space. Learn techniques to find and communicate with spirit animals Learn techniques to find and communicate with spirit guides Learn about the 3 worlds to visit while journeying and how to travel there Learn how to direct your journey by asking questions and staying present (these techniques are also handy for lucid dreaming) Learn ways of interpreting the messages received by your guides and animals During this two-hour experiential workshop you will have several chances to practice the techniques and try visiting multiple worlds. The workshop will be geared to people with no prior experience but all levels are welcome. Wear comfortable clothes. You can sit or lie down to journey. If you think you might want to lie down, bring a yoga mat so you will be comfortable. An eye pillow or eye mask may be helpful too.

“I felt totally at-ease at Movement Arts and I’m usually very guarded entering a new environment. Cliff got three very interesting journeys into a two hour introduction. The instruction to Introduction to Shamanic Journey was succinct and clear. Questions were welcomed and explored. I especially appreciated how well the four teachers worked together, with Clay as the main instructor. I think everybody took away something of value in our group and we were mostly beginners.”
